The G440 fairway family (MAX, LST, SFT) advances PING’s reputation as a Tour-preferred model of choice through a re-designed face structure and low CG system. The face is taller for more confidence off the tee while maintaining a CG location that delivers high- launching performance off the ground. The face thickness is optimized in the heel and toe regions for more consistent performance on on-center strikes. Each model is designed to fit a specific player type with a head profile engineered to provide launch conditions that best match a player’s swing. The MAX model (which fits most golfers) is available in five lofts (including a new 4-wood) to provide more gapping solutions. The multi-material LST (Low Spin) design appeals to players with faster swing speeds, providing high launch and lower spin. Golfers in need of slice-correction technology fit best in the SFT (Straight Flight) option, which features a draw-inducing CG location.

Free-Hosel Technology

By removing 11.5 grams from the hosel, screw, and heel section of the MAX models, mass savings help create a 4% taller face while maintaining CG height. A taller face increases player confidence off the tee, and a low CG preserves high launch off the turf.

Taller Face Profile

The MAX face is 4% taller than its predecessor for more confidence off the tee while maintaining a low CG position for high-launching performance off the ground.

Contoured Sole Design

Slimming down the back-weight profile ensures that the club sits more flush to the ground and the face angle remains consistent – no matter the loft or lie setting – allowing golfers to benefit from the multiple loft and lie options provided by the adjustable hosel.

CarbonFly Wrap Crown

Common to all three models (MAX, LST, SFT), the CarbonFly Wrap crown saves weight, which is re-allocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.

Trajectory Tuning 2.0 Adjustable Hosel

The lightweight, 8-position hosel enables adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than std.) to further dial in ball flight for the best results.

Gapping Solutions

Five lofts in the MAX (3, 4, 5, 7 & 9 woods), three in SFT (3, 5, 7) and two in LST (3, 5) ensure multiple options to properly gap a set.

  Weight savings from the Free Hosel (11.5 g) and Carbonfly Wrap crown help create a low CG and ensure forgiveness.

• Taller, Optimized Face

  The maraging steel face is taller and optimized in the heel and toe regions for more ball speed and consistent performance on off-center strikes. This will increase your confidence hitting off the tee.  

• Carbonfly Wrap Crown

  The Carbonfly Wrap crown saves weight, which is reallocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.

• G440 High Launch (HL)

  To help slower-swing-speed players generate speed, higher launch and distance, HL fairways are engineered with a lighter back weight, ultralight PING Alta Quick shaft, and Lamkin UTx Lite grip.

• PING-Engineered Shafts

  Counter-balanced Alta CB Blue is lighter to help increase clubhead speed on a mid-high to high launch. Tour 2.0 Black is low launch and low spin, a good fit for higher swing speeds. Tour 2.0 Chrome delivers a low-mid to mid ball flight with control and precision.

• Aftermarket Shafts

  Project X Denali Red is counter-balanced and delivers a high trajectory with mid/high spin, best for a moderate swing tempo. Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black is a low-launch, low-spin option designed to keep torque low under the force of faster swings.
